The graphite heat exchanger shall be handled with care during transportation and installation, and shall not collide with the ground or other hard materials, let alone be knocked with hard objects. The principle of "being careful and slow" shall be followed during the startup and shutdown. Taking the use and shutdown of circulating water as an example, the process and relevant precautions are described as follows:
(1) Precautions for startup and shutdown steps
Operation: open the vent valve at the outlet of circulating water, then open the connecting valve between the outlet and inlet of circulating water, and slowly open the inlet valve to control the flow. Stop: slowly close the inlet valve first, then close the outlet valve, open the drain valve and vent valve, and completely drain the cooling water accumulated in the heat exchanger.
(2) Precautions for installation and use
① Before putting into use, the air in the equipment must be exhausted first.
② The opening and closing of the inlet valve must be slow.
③ In winter, all circulating water in the heat exchanger must be drained to prevent freezing.
④ The operating pressure shall not fluctuate abnormally during operation. Once it is found that the fluctuation cannot be eliminated immediately, equipment removal or system shutdown shall be considered.
